Occupation - Title Jack Cutting was an American animator. Biography Cutting was one of the first, and most loyal, employees at Walt Disney Studios. Throughout his career at the studio, he moved through the ranks starting from being an in-betweener, an animator for the Mickey Mouse series, an assistant director to Dave Hand for the Silly Symphony series, and finally a director for two animations: Farmyard Symphony (1938) and The Ugly Duckling (1939). He left the studio at the end of the 1930s only to return at the beginning of the 1960s, in order to head Disney's Foreign Department, where he supervised translations and dubbing of Disney's animated films.
